Job summary
We would like to recruit a forward thinking and enthusiastic dietitian to join the paediatric dietetic team, providing specialist dietetic input for paediatric patients in Warwickshire. Paediatric dietetic experience is essential.
The Band 7 paediatric dietitian will provide inpatient, outpatient and community paediatric dietetic care across Warwickshire. The role will include ward and SCBU cover at Warwick hospital, managing a caseload of home enteral feeding patients, delivering outpatient clinics and groups, providing input into SEN school settings, overseeing clinical guidelines and reviewing training and education delivered to patients, dietetic learners and other HCP's. The Band 7 paediatric dietitian will also support team members such as providing clinical supervision, overseeing competencies and completing appraisals for junior staff.
You need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working as a member of the dietetic team and with other healthcare professionals, you will deliver an efficient and evidence-based dietetic service.
You will be based at Warwick Hospital but will be required to travel across the county of Warwickshire for meetings, training, team support and possible countywide caseload, therefore must be a car user or have access to suitable transport options.

Main duties of the jobTo act as the lead dietitian for designated speciality.
To work as an autonomous practitioner to advise on the dietary management of patients on a highly specialist caseload of patients.
Liaise with dietetic colleagues and other members of multidisciplinary teams as necessary e.g. medical, nursing, catering and other health & social care professionals.
Act as a specialist advisor and educator to other healthcare professionals within designated speciality.
To promote the ethos of self-management and prevention to patients, staff and carers to prevent nutritional problems, medical conditions and complications.
