Senior Specialist Legal Editor, Practical Law Employment

We are seeking an experienced Employment law practitioner (e.g., solicitor, barrister, legal executive) to join the Practical Law Employment team in the UK on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Practical Law is a leading online know-how service providing peer-reviewed resources, such as practice notes, current awareness, and standard documents to support legal professionals. It is part of Thomson Reuters, a trusted provider of answers across law, tax, compliance, government, and media.

About the role

As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor, you will use your expertise in Employment law to develop and maintain Practical Law content. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Analyzing recent Employment law, regulatory, and policy developments to determine coverage.
  2. Creating and updating materials in various formats, including standalone and comparative resources.
  3. Commissioning, reviewing, and editing content from internal and external sources.
  4. Responding to legal questions from subscribers via the Ask service.
  5. Engaging with external clients and industry experts to stay informed on trends and practices in Employment law.

You will also support:

  1. Marketing efforts for the Practical Law Employment practice area.
  2. Collaboration with other Thomson Reuters teams, including sales, marketing, product management, and technology.
About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant post-qualification experience (England & Wales) as an Employment lawyer, either in a law firm or in-house.
  • A strong interest and ability in writing.
  • Deep understanding of Employment law and extensive advising experience.
