Job Description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientists for the position of Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist in the Department of Cellular Pathology.

The successful applicant will have significant post-HCPC registration experience in an NHS diagnostic cellular (Histopathology) pathology laboratory and an MSc in Biomedical Science (or be within 12 months of completion).

You will have line managerial responsibility for the main laboratory and perform a Quality/training officer role. Candidates must have proven experience supervising, training, outstanding communication skills, and a clear understanding of UKAS ISO:15189 accreditation standards.

The Department holds UKAS ISO 15189 accreditation and is an approved IBMS training laboratory.
