ClearSpace in London is seeking an On-board Data Handling Engineer to join the Electrical team. The role focuses on data handling/avionics architecture, interfaces and system-level integration across current missions and future programmes.

You will contribute through the full mission lifecycle—from early concept and requirements through design, AIT, launch and in-orbit commissioning—collaborating with subsystem, software and systems engineers to ensure robust system design.

Formación

• BSc or MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
• 5+ years Electrical Engineering experience in space industry (avionics/data handling).
• Knowledge of spacecraft data buses: CAN, SpaceWire, Ethernet.

Responsabilidades

• Provide data handling system engineering, from high-level architecture to detailed electronics design and integration.
• Develop and maintain data handling architectures for missions, including hardware interfaces and protocols.
• Specify and select hardware for on-board data processing for reliability and compute capability.
• Act as technical contact on data handling with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.
• Perform requirements engineering related to data handling systems and electrical interfaces.
• Maintain spacecraft budgets and parametric models for data handling systems.
• Define validation, verification and test plans; support test equipment and reviews.
• Contribute to development, verification and AIV/T planning at system and spacecraft level.
• Generate documentation for project lifetime (Design, Development and Verification Plan; FMEA; etc).
• Support customer and project reviews.
