Job summary

Bannatyne Group in Mansfield is seeking a Senior Spa Therapist to join our team and lead by example. You will perform spa treatments, mentor junior therapists, and collaborate with the Spa Manager to deliver relaxing, high‑quality experiences for every guest.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 2/3 Beauty Therapy, have proven spa experience, exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Spa Therapist.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Genuine passion for health, wellness and customer service.
• Ability to establish rapport, build trust and credibility.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform spa treatments (massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, etc.) tailored to guests.
• Lead, mentor and support Junior Spa Therapists.
• Liaise with the Spa Manager to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide high-quality service to ensure relaxing guest experiences.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and spa equipment.
• Build client relationships to encourage repeat visits and referrals.
• Promote spa services, offers and products based on consultations.
• Contribute to revenue by achieving targets and upselling where appropriate.
• Stay updated on industry trends and techniques.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.

A typical day in the life of a Senior Spa Therapist:

• Perform a variety of spa treatments including massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and more, tailored to meet guests' individual needs.
• Lead, mentor and support Junior Spa Therapists, ensuring a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Liaise and support the Spa Manager.
• Provide professional, high-quality service to ensure a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for all clients.
• Ensuring the proper use of spa equipment and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, encouraging repeat visits and referrals.
• Assist in promoting spa services, special offers and products to enhance the guest experience based on consultations.
• Maximise revenue opportunities in accordance with your targets and seek assistance if you need additional support or training.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends and techniques to continuously enhance your skills.
• Adhering to all company health and safety guidelines.

What we are looking for:

• Have an NVQ Level 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Spa Therapist.
• Have strong interpersonal and communications skills and a customer focused attitude.
• A genuine passion for health, wellness and customer service.
• The ability to establish rapport, build trust and demonstrate credibility.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

It would be desirable if you had knowledge and experience of ELEMIS products along with experience of guiding, managing and motivating teams to bring collective success. It would also be beneficial if you had proven experience of upselling and cross-selling to maximise profits.
