The role |

The Senior Sous Chef will be an inspirational leader, fostering a positive environment for both team members and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team, drive restaurant performance, and ensure outstanding results.

Responsibilities include |

  • Creating a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes, nurturing talent, and role-modeling a coaching culture.
  • Ensuring an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and team skill development.
  • Maintaining impeccable food safety, health, and safety standards; understanding and managing kitchen financials including gross profit, stock control, and labour costs.
  • Building a coaching culture, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, and fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Being a proactive problem solver, capable of quick decision-making.

What we look for |

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to have considerate and supportive conversations.
  • Experience ensuring high standards in food safety, health, safety, and financial management of a kitchen.
  • Ability to manage labour costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage the team, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and effectively.
