Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team of 5+ kitchen staff.

JOB TITLE - Senior Sous Chef

DEPARTMENT - Culinary

CONTRACT TYPE - Permanent

RATE OF PAY - £15.96 per hour, plus service charge, plus excellent company benefits

HOURS - 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7

OUR IDEAL HERO WILL HAVE
  • Level 3 or equivalent culinary qualification
  • Understanding of menu costing and planning
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a 4/5 star hotel or reputable restaurant with at least 1 AA Rosette
  • Experience leading a team of 5+ kitchen staff
  • Food hygiene Level 3, Craft Trainer, or Train the Trainer certification
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Order food items from dry stores and external suppliers as required
  • Receive, check, and store purchased food items properly
  • Coordinate with the Restaurant and Banqueting Managers for efficient service
  • Use resources effectively to minimize waste and reduce costs
  • Lead and develop the kitchen team, maintaining customer feedback and service quality
