Our client are recruiting for a dedicated and passionate Senior Sous Chef, to assist with the kitchen operations, within a busy, fine dining establishment, in the Salcombe area. Working within a luxury setting, it is essential the successful senior sous chef has experience within a fine dining setting.

As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will assist the head chef in overseeing the smooth running of the kitchen, and would suit someone who is looking for a new opportunity from sous chef to progress their career.

Senior Sous Chef responsibilities will include;

  • Assist the head chef in day to day operations.
  • Manage food costs and inventory control.
  • Maintain excellent standard of food presentation, quality and hygiene.
  • Work closely with front of house team to ensure a seamless service.
  • Manage staff rotas/schedules.
  • Assist in menu development.

Due to the nature of the establishment, the successful candidate will have a passion for providing outstanding dishes and a thoroughly high level of customer service. With the seniority of the position, it is essential the successful applicant has;

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for food.
  • Proven experience at sous/senior sous level.
  • Strong knowledge of food cost control and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
