As a premier wine destination and foodie haven, we offer a relaxed, informal, and contemporary experience with a team that has individual personalities that shine through.

Role Overview:

This is a great time to join our team as a Senior Sous Chef. You will assist in executing the culinary experience and help drive our approach in delivering high-quality food offerings. You will be results-driven and work closely with the Executive Chef, supply chain partners, in-house centralized services, and on-property kitchen and front-of-house teams to develop, research, and implement efficiency and quality improvements across all outlets.

You will ensure the smooth running of your assigned kitchen teams and assume full accountability in the absence of the Executive Chef, acting in their capacity.

You will seek opportunities to create memorable moments for our guests, providing a personal experience they will want to share.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing food and sundry costs through stock control measures.
  • Analyze and present monthly profit and loss reports with corrective actions as directed by the Executive Chef.
  • Assist with payroll and food cost analysis to ensure optimal performance, correcting overspends within the same trading period.
  • Maximize sales and profit while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coach, train, and support chefs to maintain high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Be highly visible during key service periods, focusing on culinary delivery details.
  • Maintain focus on customer needs with personalized service.
  • Lead and develop the kitchen team through teamwork, skill, initiative, and communication, supporting the Executive Chef during service.
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation, following company guidelines and recipes.
  • Comply with statutory and legal hygiene, health, safety, and legislation requirements, and ensure team awareness.

You should be a strong team player with initiative, a passion for cooking, excellent attention to detail, and a service-oriented attitude. Confidence, business acumen, and the ability to forecast sales and achieve budgets are essential. You should be approachable, dedicated to high standards, and capable of building, developing, and motivating a team to deliver excellent customer care.

We value diverse experiences and backgrounds. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef, preferably within a 4 or 5-star operation.
  • Previous managerial experience in a similar role.

Benefits include:

  • 29 days holiday
  • Training and development from day one
  • Employee events and celebrations
  • Access to our interactive employee communication app
  • Use of state-of-the-art gym and pools
  • Healthy meals during shifts
  • External Employee Assistance Programme
  • Financial Wellbeing App Wagestream for early access to pay
  • £200 referral bonus

Post-probation benefits include discounts, recognition schemes, long service awards, complimentary guest stays, restaurant discounts, cycle scheme, room rates, spa treatments, and life assurance.
