Something different is coming to Beaconsfield. BEAR by Chef Carlo Scotto opens at the Crazy Bear Hotel. A 14-seat chef’s table set to open its doors in Spring 2025, the bold new dining concept promises to redefine fine dining. At the heart of Chef Carlo’s new venture is a tasting menu with a farm-to-plate philosophy, showcasing locally sourced, best of British ingredients and seasonal vegetables with an unexpected twist.

Sous Chef Duties:

  • Collaborate with the Chef Patron Carlo Scotto in menu development, focusing on locally sourced, sustainable ingredients and the best British seasonal produce
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation that align with Michelin aspirations
  • Maintain strict food safety and hygiene practices
  • Oversee kitchen operations during busy service, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
  • Monitor stock levels, ordering, and wastage to maintain efficiency and profitability with Food Alert & Alert 65.
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and an unforgettable dining experience.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of a high-end, fine dining kitchen.

The Senior Sous Chef will have:

  • Proven experience in a role at a Michelin Star establishment or at least 4 AA rosettes is essential.
  • Impeccable standards with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Immaculate presentation and communication skills.
  • Thrives under pressure, handles challenges with calm and clarity.
  • Is hands-on, solutions-focused, and always looking for ways to raise the bar.
  • Fluent in reading and writing of the English language.
