A leading catering company is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to manage culinary operations across multiple venues. The ideal candidate will support the Executive Chef, lead kitchen teams, and ensure high-quality food service at various events. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in managing culinary operations across multiple catering venues for our thriving events client . This role is ideal for a dynamic and organized individual who thrives in high-volume, fast-paced environments and can lead diverse kitchen teams to deliver exceptional food quality and service consistency across events and sites.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Executive Chef in planning and executing food production across multiple locations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency.
* Supervise and lead kitchen teams across sites, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
* Oversee food prep and execution for events such as weddings, corporate functions, and large-scale banquets.
* Assist in menu development and seasonal updates in line with client needs and dietary trends.
* Monitor inventory, place orders, and coordinate deliveries across multiple locations to ensure optimal stock levels.
* Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef or Executive Chef.
* Conduct site visits and kitchen checks to ensure operational excellence at every venue.
* Support in cost control and food waste reduction, working within budget and GP targets.
Requirements:
* 2+ years proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in catering, banqueting, or multi-site hospitality operations
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Deep knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP procedures
* Experience with high-volume service and event catering
* Flexible and mobile - able to travel between sites as required in central london
