Job summary

TRP Recruitment ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager to lead global cosmetics supplier development and expand manufacturing capacity. You will leverage an extensive Far East network and work with senior leadership to shape sourcing strategy and drive growth across cosmetics and personal care.

The role requires deep knowledge of cosmetics manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and supplier performance. Strong negotiation and travel to partner sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a senior sourcing or supply chain role within the cosmetics, beauty or personal care industry.
• Established network of cosmetics manufacturers and suppliers across the Far East and EU.
• Experience onboarding and developing new suppliers and expanding international manufacturing capacity.
• Strong technical understanding of cosmetics manufacturing processes, product formulations, ingredients, packaging and development requirements.
• Excellent knowledge of cosmetics quality assurance, regulatory compliance and product safety standards.
• Strategic, entrepreneurial and proactive in identifying new markets and sourcing opportunities.
• Willingness to travel internationally to visit manufacturing partners and explore new sourcing opportunities.

We are working with an established and ambitious business within the cosmetics and beauty industry that is looking to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Senior Sourcing Manager to support its continued growth and expansion.

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-connected sourcing professional with extensive experience in cosmetics manufacturing, a strong understanding of production capabilities and quality standards, and an established network of manufacturers and suppliers across the Far East.

This role will be heavily focused on developing new manufacturing relationships and identifying opportunities to expand the company's sourcing capabilities across cosmetics and beauty products.

Working closely with senior management, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the company's sourcing strategy and supporting its long‑term commercial growth.

Main Responsibilities will include:

• Identify, develop and expand the company's global supplier and manufacturing network, with a particular focus on cosmetics manufacturers across the Far East.
• Leverage an established network of factories, contract manufacturers and sourcing partners to unlock new production opportunities and increase manufacturing capacity.
• Research and identify new sourcing markets, manufacturing capabilities and opportunities to diversify the existing supply chain.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, factory owners and manufacturing partners across international markets.
• Evaluate potential manufacturing partners based on production capabilities, product quality, capacity, commercial competitiveness and compliance standards.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of cosmetics manufacturing processes, formulations, ingredients, packaging and product development requirements.
• Assess supplier quality standards, technical capabilities and compliance with relevant cosmetics regulations, product safety requirements and ethical sourcing standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve sourcing efficiencies, strengthen supplier partnerships and support commercial growth.
• Negotiate competitive commercial terms and establish sustainable, long‑term supplier relationships.
• Monitor developments across global cosmetics sourcing markets, identifying emerging manufacturers, new technologies and opportunities for supply chain expansion.
• Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan aligned with the company's growth objectives.
• Attend supplier meetings, factory visits and international sourcing events as required to develop relationships and assess manufacturing capabilities.

Person Specification:

• Extensive experience in a senior sourcing, supplier development or supply chain management role within the cosmetics, beauty or personal care industry.
• An established and extensive network of cosmetics manufacturers, factories, contract manufacturers and sourcing partners across the Far East and EU.
• Proven experience in identifying, onboarding and developing new suppliers and expanding international manufacturing capacity.
• Strong technical understanding of cosmetics manufacturing processes, product formulations, ingredients, packaging and production quality.
• Excellent knowledge of cosmetics quality assurance, regulatory compliance, product safety and relevant manufacturing standards.
• Strong understanding of international supply chains, manufacturing markets and supplier development.
• Strategic, entrepreneurial and forward‑thinking, with a proactive approach to identifying new markets and sourcing opportunities.
• Highly organised, self‑motivated and comfortable working independently to develop new supplier relationships.
