Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 7 Sonographer to rotate between City campus, Treatment Centre, QMC campus and the Community Diagnostic Centre (opening 2027). You will join a skilled team delivering obstetric and non-obstetric ultrasound across four sites, with CPD encouraged and opportunities for career progression.

The department operates mainly 8am–6pm, moving towards a 7-day service to cover Early Pregnancy, Inpatients, CDC and SDEC.

Qualifications

• BSc(Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and a Post Grad Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
• Evidence of CPD and commitment to professional development.
• UK-wide registration with professional body (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations independently across obstetric and general services.
• Produce concise diagnostic reports within departmental protocols.
• Triages workload and collaborates with colleagues to maximise departmental efficiency.
• Mentor staff during ultrasound training.
