Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is seeking a Band 7 Sonographer to rotate between City Campus, QMC, Treatment Centre and the Community Diagnostic Centre as it expands services. The role supports obstetric and non-obstetric ultrasound across multiple sites, with a 7-day service transition in progress and a pro rata salary for part-time staff.

You will work under the Ultrasound Modality Manager, joining a team of Sonographers and Radiologists to deliver high-quality ultrasound

Qualifications

• B.Sc.Hons in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent professional body.
• Post Grad Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
• Demonstrates a commitment to CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Undertake ultrasound within your area of specialty.
• Maintain a high standard of work and strive for continual improvements in ultrasound standards and patient care.
• Obtain high quality diagnostic images.
• Triage workflow with colleagues to maximise departmental efficiency.
• Communicate scan findings clearly to patients and clinicians.
• Support and mentor ultrasound staff as part of the team.
