Job summary

DCS Recruitment is supporting a specialist defence and maritime technology organisation in Hampshire to appoint a technically accomplished Product Manager for a sonar product family across its full lifecycle.

This role requires deep sonar and underwater acoustics knowledge, engineering judgement, and the ability to coordinate engineering, manufacturing, trials and service teams to deliver capability through manufacture and operation.

Qualifications

• Technical ownership of a sonar product family across lifecycle.
• Experience in production support, troubleshooting and engineering input.
• Background in defence or high-reliability environments.
• Knowledge of sonar systems and underwater acoustics.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of a sonar product family throughout development, manufacture, service and evolution.
• Provide hands-on production support with engineering and operations teams.
• Support sea trials and product demonstrations requiring specialist knowledge.
• Lead or coordinate failure investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Manage engineering changes, configuration requirements and obsolescence.
• Define and influence the product roadmap to reflect customer and operational needs.
