Job Description
Ori is seeking a Solutions/Sales Engineer who combines their technical knowledge with value driven sales skills. We require a strong background in large scale systems architecture and software, along with a broad understanding of modern technology and best practices. You will be responsible for answering technical questions, advising on technical best practices, identifying and uncovering current needs, exploring and validating potential solutions, and justifying the project's benefits and viability for enterprise prospects. As part of the tight feedback loop between Product and Sales, you'll be advocating for the ongoing enhancement of the Ori platform. Working hand-in-hand with Solutions Engineering and Customer Success, you will ensure that the technical needs of our enterprise customers are identified, understood, and addressed in future roadmap planning.
What You Will Do:
- Provide technical support to prospects, customers, and the sales team throughout the entire sales cycle
- Provide expertise in the Ori platform, infrastructure, solutions and services and how they can be applied to solve business needs
- Develop and present demonstrations of the Ori Cloud platform and infrastructure
- Manage and run proofs of concept, guiding measures of success and towards meaningful outcomes
- Respond to security documents, coordinating with other internal specialist teams
- Serve as an interface to Product and Engineering teams, representing the Voice of the Customer
About You:
- You possess strong technical skills, ideally in large scale systems and HPC/AI with previous pre-sales experience
- You're aware of the broader technical ecosystems, including HPC Clusters, AI, GPUs, Linux and networking.
- Specifically, from the HPC/AI space, you should be familiar with job schedulers, orchestration, containers, Kubernetes, interconnects and network topology
- Familiarity with advanced networking concepts and technologies preferred.
- You focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth
- You have a passion for helping people develop an accurate mental model of how our technology works and have the ability to quickly build a rapport and become a trusted advisor
- You are able to weave together discussions around business benefits, strategic value, and technical efficacy with the ability to envision, create and develop custom demos
- You understand how to manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritize between competing demands
- You understand best practices in network architecture and security
- You have 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role
Solution Engineer Qualifications / Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under indirect supervision
- Broad understanding of information technology topics
- Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
- Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
- Flexible in a fast-paced dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities
- Technically creative and open-minded
Bonus If You:
- Earned Cloud Solutions Architect Certifications
- Engaged with platform security & privacy regulatory standards like SOC-2, ISO27001, and HIPAA.
- Attained an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
