Job summary

Extreme Networks, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the UK & Ireland region. You will be the technical lead on strategic accounts, shaping complex solutions from first conversation to close and mentoring other SEs.

You will enable partners, present to CIOs and board-level stakeholders, and travel across the UK and Ireland. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in networking pre-sales or related field.
• Deep knowledge of L2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, fabric and overlays.
• Experience leading PoCs, demonstrations and RFP/tender responses.
• Strong presentation skills with customer-facing credibility.

You'll also mentor other SEs, enable our partners and represent Extreme in the market. **What you'll do:*** Own the technical strategy for complex deals across enterprise, public sector, healthcare, education and CNI.* Design end-to-end solutions across fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security and cloud management.* Lead RFP and tender responses (including public sector frameworks), PoCs and demonstrations.* Present with impact, from engineering teams to CIO and board level.* Build trusted relationships with customers and partners, and advocate for them internally.* Mentor SEs, lead partner and MSP enablement, and step up as account technical lead when needed.Travel is required, mainly across the UK and Ireland. **What you'll bring:*** Typically 7+ years in networking pre-sales, with a record of closing large, complex deals.* Deep knowledge of L2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, fabric and overlays (SPB, VXLAN/EVPN), Wi-Fi design and network security.* Excellent presentation skills and strong hands-on lab and PoC experience.* Tenacity, ownership and a customer-first mindset. **Desirable:** cloud-managed networking, virtualization, SD-WAN/SASE, automation and APIs, partner enablement, UK public sector experience or SC clearance, and industry certifications (Extreme certifications welcome, not required).**Compensation:** This role has a market-competitive OTE of £100,000 – £120,000. The posted range reflects the amount Extreme Networks reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role upon hire. This range is set using objective, gender-neutral criteria based on skills, experience, responsibility, and working conditions. Actual compensation offered will depend on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and work location.
