Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to shape and lead solution designs across major programmes. You will act as the technical authority, define architectures balancing customer needs with enterprise standards, and influence roadmaps while ensuring secure-by-design principles.

You will mentor others, represent Leonardo in senior customer forums, and contribute to bids and proposals in a flexible hybrid working model with on-site collaboration at UK offices such as Bristol.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing secure, integrated solutions across complex systems.
• Knowledge of TOGAF, MODAF, NAF or similar frameworks.
• Strong ability to influence technical strategy and engage senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for solution design across large programmes.
• Define architectures balancing customer needs with enterprise principles.
• Lead reviews, trade-off studies, and risk assessments for major designs.
• Contribute to roadmaps and identify opportunities for tech insertion.
• Mentor and coach architects and engineers to raise capability.
• Represent Leonardo at senior customer forums and industry events.
• Support business winning including solution strategy, bids, and proposals.
• Promote reuse, best practices, and model-based design across the community.
