Job summary

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Solutions Architect (NHS AfC: Band 8b) for a permanent, full-time role based at home with regular travel across England. The post supports the ARP Programme, focusing on design and implementation of Data Centre Networks, WAN and Trust integrations.

The role requires CCIE certification, extensive WAN/LAN experience, and the ability to work with suppliers and NHS partners in agile environments.

Qualifications

Senior technical position requiring CCIE qualification and experience in mission critical programmes.
Specialist skills in 2G/3G/4G/LTE technologies and agile software development.
Ability to work with stakeholders to specify, design and deliver control room solutions.
Experience negotiating with suppliers and working across NHS ambulance services.

Responsibilities

Specify, design and select control room solutions delivering required utility and warranty.
Lead planning, design, options appraisal, testing and delivery of end products.
Coordinate interfaces to national and local programmes.
Provide guidance on latest mobile device technology and future trends.
Build strong relationships with service management, suppliers and NHS partners.
