Job Summary
The Senior Solutions Architect - HR Technology Services (HRTS) will lead Human Capital Management Systems discovery, requirements gathering, and Phase X implementations for mergers and acquisitions. This role provides an opportunity to develop elegant solutions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead configuration of Workday core HCM functionalities, including business process definitions, core rules, components, and workflows for M&A integration.
- Analyze and document business processes within the existing HCM system (Workday) to support M&A activities.
- Review system functionality with stakeholders and identify gaps related to M&A needs.
- Support data conversion activities including mass data loads, EIBs, and data integration during M&A transitions.
- Assist in testing activities for M&A implementations.
- Coordinate with project team members to ensure successful system updates and modifications, especially in M&A projects.
- Engage with business users to analyze requirements and evaluate HR system functionality for M&A needs.
- Translate user requirements into functional specifications understandable by developers and the project team.
- Assess change requests and provide work estimates for M&A activities.
- Document tasks, timelines, owners, and dependencies for project planning.
Qualifications
- Experience with Human Capital Management systems, including configuring HR applications such as Compensation Management, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and HCM.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Deep knowledge of Workday modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Absence, and Time.
- Experience supporting HR processes in M&A contexts.
- Technical knowledge of payroll integration points (PECI, WECI, PICOF).
- Understanding of HCM application security and its interdependencies, especially for M&A.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a global setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quick learning skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to convey technical and non-technical information.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of multitasking and prioritizing.
- Attention to detail and research skills related to system issues and products.
- Knowledge of systems development lifecycle and methodologies, especially in M&A scenarios.
