Job summary

Viasat, Inc. seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to co-lead the technical architecture of a platform ecosystem spanning web portals, document generation, and cloud apps processing billions of records.

You will shape integrations between BigQuery data pipelines, Salesforce, and enterprise authentication, using Python, AWS Lambda, Next.js/React, and Terraform. Mentoring, architecture ownership, and AI-driven innovations are core today.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python development for production apps.
• Expert-level AWS experience including Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, API Gateway.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized apps with Docker.
• Strong SQL skills and data warehouse experience.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code tools, esp. Terraform.
• Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to design multi-component software systems from architecture to production.
• Experience with Next.js/React/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with BigQuery and Cloud Run.
• Knowledge of enterprise auth patterns (SSO, SAML, OAuth, RBAC).
• Experience scaling MVPs to enterprise-grade platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end platform across full stack, from API endpoints to frontend interfaces.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineers, Sales, Product, and IT to align tech decisions with business needs.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software architecture.
• Evaluate AI capabilities and integrate MCP servers and LLM APIs into workflows.
• Review designs, drive architectural decisions, and ensure scalable, secure deployments.
