Job description

Responsibilities (Text Only)
- You will be responsible for identifying, agreeing, and delivering technical outcomes for Microsoft customers, meeting agreed technical and business goals.
- You will gather customer insights from a broad range of stakeholders as well as the main business sponsor to shape and execute projects, collaborating with stakeholders to socialize both the business solution and project approach, and adjusting as needed.
- You will use an evidence-based approach to represent the customer, sharing insights with Product Engineering teams and the business to improve Microsoft technologies, products, services, and offerings to better meet customer needs.
- You will define and document the Architecture through an architecture description document, an architecture decisions log, and a requirements/constraints traceability matrix, communicating the value proposition and project approach.
- You will work with customers to understand and demonstrate business value (e.g., revenue, cost savings) and manage ambiguity in requirements, documenting assumptions and implications.
- You will generate new or improve existing intellectual property, connecting gaps and patterns across business and technology areas to drive change.
- You will identify ideas for culling, considering scale across customers, and promote re-use of intellectual property, recommending practices in pre-sales and delivery, and participating in internal/external communities.
- You will lead virtual teams around technologies and customer challenges, sharing ideas, insights, and strategic technical input with teams across Microsoft, leveraging knowledge of Microsoft architectures and their context in the competitive landscape.
Qualifications (Text Only)
Required Qualifications (RQs)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years in technology solutions, architecture, consulting, or related domain OR
- Master's Degree in relevant fields AND 6+ years experience OR
- Equivalent experience
- 2+ years managing multiple projects or portfolios
- 1+ year leading multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance in the UK, residing in the UK for at least five years.
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- Extensive experience designing and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
- Technical acumen in architecting scalable solutions, problem-solving
- Experience with application development teams, setting technical standards
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical vision to stakeholders
- Hands-on knowledge of data services like Azure Data Lake, Fabric
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP
- Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, Azure AI Foundry
- Experience refactoring applications for Azure cloud-native technologies
- Ability to produce architectural documentation
- Awareness of security, compliance, governance in cloud environments
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
