Job summary

Starling Engine by Starling Bank is seeking a Solution Architect to translate client needs into architectural designs for Engine's SaaS platform. You will lead technical design during implementations, collaborate with Product and Engineering, and ensure seamless integrations with SI partners and clients.

In this hybrid role, you’ll travel within Europe from our London base, interacting with clients on-site and remotely as projects demand.

Qualifications

• End-to-end software engineering and solution architecture across the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, and sequence diagrams for integration.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure and large-scale cloud applications.
• Proven client-facing experience with stakeholder engagement.
• Fluent English and at least one European language (French or Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Explain the Engine product and uncover client requirements.
• Lead technical designs during the Engine implementation phase and coordinate with clients and SI partners.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to fulfill requirements and shape the product roadmap.
• Document scope, decisions and roadmap to guide subsequent delivery waves.
• Provide expert guidance to client engineering teams and ensure ongoing client success.
