ABOUT THE ROLE

EPAM is seeking a hands-on Senior Solution Architect with strong Card Payments experience to work with a major banking client in London. The role involves leading the modernization of the bank's Card Payments Infrastructure, focusing on ATM networks and card payment systems. The architect will design scalable, secure solutions, guide development teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural design for the bank’s UK Cards Payments Infrastructure, ensuring standards meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance, oversee system integration, and collaborate on security measures.
  • Engage with stakeholders, translate business goals into technical solutions, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, and recommend innovations to improve systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience as a Solution Architect in cards payments infrastructure, including ATM technology.
  • Experience designing large-scale IT systems in banking or financial services.
  • Proficiency in architectural frameworks, design patterns, and modern development practices.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance related to card payments.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
