Job description

We are a progressive legal firm with a well-established presence across the South of England and South Wales. We are currently conducting a confidential search for a Senior Solicitor (Private Client) to join our team. This is a fully remote position. The successful candidate will take on a leading role in the delivery of high-quality legal advice and documents to colleagues (not members of the public).

Key Responsibilities

1. Advise on, manage a varied caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration, and most importantly lifetime trusts and will trusts.
2. Draft and review a range of legal instruments, including but not limited to lifetime trust deeds, deeds of variation, and declaration of trust.
3. Oversee residential conveyancing matters, relating to settling residential properties into will and lifetime trusts.
4. Support training and development where required.

Candidate Requirements

1. A minimum of 5 years PQE in private client practice, ideally within wills, tax, estate planning, and probate team.
2. Strong knowledge of trusts, particularly in relation to the creation, administration, and variation.
3. Expertise in legal drafting, especially of will and lifetime trust documentation and estate planning structures.
4. Ability to manage caseloads independently and efficiently, with excellent attention to detail.
5. Familiarity with case management systems and digital document platforms.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
