Job summary

Recruitment Opportunities in Luton seeks a Senior Solicitor to join the Contracts and Procurement team, delivering an efficient and economic legal service to the Council, its Executive, Committees and departments.

You will manage a mixed caseload of commercial contracts, procurement and governance work, providing strategic advice with minimal supervision and clear communication across levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial contracts and procurement, ideally in local government or public sector.
• Proven ability to deliver complex legal work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication with wide-range clients within the Council.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering an efficient, effective and economic legal service for the Council and its bodies.
• Conduct and manage a mixed caseload of commercial contracts, procurement and governance work.
• Provide professional and commercial advice at all levels to clients within the Council.
