Job summary

Express-Solicitors in Manchester is seeking an experienced OL/PL Claimant Senior Solicitor to manage a high-quality caseload of Occuper's and Public Liability claims. This position offers a generous commission structure, rewarding you for every case won, with no caps on earnings.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing litigated claims with experience from inception to trial. The firm provides a hybrid working pattern following probation and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced OL/PL Claimant Senior Solicitor to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially minded lawyer to manage a high-quality caseload of Occupier’s and Public Liability claims, working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You will handle your own caseload of litigated OL/PL matters from inception through to conclusion, with the opportunity to work on both fast track and multi-track claims.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, supported by strong non-CMC referral sources, ensuring you are dealing with genuine and meritorious claims.

This is a target-driven role where success is rewarded through a generous, uncapped commission structure.

We offer a generous commission structure, where all our lawyer, get a percentage of every case they win. With no hurdles, and no caps, you are rewarded for the success of every case you bring to completion.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of OL/PL claims from cradle to grave
• Handling both pre-issue and litigated fast track and multi-track matters
• Conducting legal research and providing clear, commercial legal advice
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other legal documents
• Negotiating settlements with opponents and insurers
• Progressing cases efficiently through litigation
• Representing clients at court where required
• Working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Collaborating with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes
• Keeping up to date with developments in relevant law and practice
• Supporting junior team members

Person Specification

• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX, or equivalent experience (5–8+ PQE)
• Proven track record of managing a litigated OL/PL claimant caseload
• Experience handling cases from inception to trial or disposal
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Experience handling fast track and multi-track OL/PL claims
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently

• Proclaim experience (advantageous)

Salary & Hours

A basic salary of £55,000-£70,000, dependent on experience.

Our standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday.

Hybrid Working

3/2 hybrid working pattern after probation.
