Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is hiring a Solar PV Design Engineer to deliver cost-effective, compliant solar solutions for commercial sites. The role emphasizes feasibility studies, technical design using PVSol/PVSyst, and site assessments to support tenders and construction.

Office-based in Stirling with hybrid options; strong regulatory knowledge and experience with commercial PV projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial solar PV projects.
• Proficient with PV design software (PVsol, PVSyst, PVCase) and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of tender documents, contracts and regulatory codes.

Responsibilities

• Undertake feasibility studies and yield assessments for sites.
• Develop solar PV technical designs using PVSol, PVSyst and PVCase.
• Produce design drawings including single-line diagrams and layouts.
• Visit sites to identify connection points, equipment needs and project pricing.
• Assist in preparing tenders and quotations.
• Prepare and submit DNO applications for projects.
• Advance designs to enable construction.
