Job summary

McLaren Automotive seeks an experienced Software & Customer Experience procurement professional to lead end-to-end software and supplier management. You will develop global strategies, negotiate contracts, and optimise total lifecycle costs while collaborating with engineering and IT teams.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking and a track record in automotive or electronics sourcing. Hybrid working and an attractive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Significant procurement experience, ideally in product development or automotive/electronics sectors.
• Skilled in drafting and negotiating software supply agreements.
• Proven track record of end-to-end supply base management (strategy, sourcing, delivery, cost, risk).
• Experience managing large software enterprises and negotiating favorable terms.
• Strong knowledge of software technologies and supplier networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software commodity management from concept to runout/exit strategies.
• Develop and execute global procurement strategies for complex software requirements.
• Deliver and lead contract management through effective negotiation and supplier performance management.
• Own total lifecycle cost, risk, and cost-revenue opportunities for software assets.
• Maintain and improve supplier relationships with major and emerging vendors.
• Support senior leadership with business cases and operating model improvements.
