Location – London/Hybrid– 1 day a week in the office
As a Senior Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing high quality software solutions that directly support product and business objectives. You’ll work closely with Principal Engineers and Architects to define and champion engineering best practices, using your expertise in programming languages such as Java and C#, alongside scripting languages including Bash, Python or Ruby. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, results oriented and takes genuine ownership of technical challenges, leading research activities, technical spikes and proof of concepts to explore new ideas and identify effective solutions to complex problems.
Quality will be at the heart of everything you do. You’ll lead troubleshooting and issue resolution throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring the solutions you deliver are robust, scalable, maintainable and production-ready. You’ll champion Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and automated testing practices to maintain high standards of code quality and coverage. Through code reviews, pair programming and collaborative engineering practices, you’ll help establish a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Experience developing within CI pipelines and following modern engineering and delivery best practices would be highly desirable.
Beyond your own development work, you’ll be an important technical leader within the team, supporting, coaching and mentoring other engineers while helping to raise engineering standards. Excellent communication and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams will be essential, as you’ll work closely with Product Owners, Engineers and Testers to define clear acceptance criteria and deliver high-quality software from inception through to production. Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS and EventBridge, would be a strong advantage.
You will have:
Expertise in object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#)
Expertise in scripting languages: Bash, Python or Ruby
Test-driven development practices (TDD, BDD, etc.)
Excellent communicator and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience.
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects.
Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques and methodologies.
Experience with providing coaching and mentoring
Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.
Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
