Northrop Grumman UK is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain critical infrastructure for our services. You will be self-driven, organized, and passionate about building elegant, stable solutions across diverse projects with complex challenges.

You will lead technically and contribute to delivery while aligning with customer requirements, helping shape secure and resilient software. A clearance-ready mindset is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Software Engineer in backend or frontend disciplines.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containerisation, deployment technologies & cloud platforms (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS).
• Understanding of database technologies such as SQL, Elasticsearch or MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on development and contribute to the codebase, including peer reviews.
• Design software features to realise the product road map and explain design choices.
• Break down large work into well-defined tasks for Agile delivery.
• Assist setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Demonstrate development work to internal and external customers.
