Job summary

Schonfeld is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Treasury Technology team. You will design and build business-critical applications across securities lending, repo trading, FX hedging, and collateral management in an agile environment.

You will work with global teams, mentor juniors, and help improve our cloud-based stack with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, while ensuring scalable, low-latency solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Java development experience.
• Strong design and architecture skills; microservices experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading strategic technical initiatives.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Familiarity with messaging systems, Kafka preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with business users across regions and time zones.
• Demonstrated ownership and delivery of results.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support treasury applications.
• Collaborate with Treasury and Portfolio Managers to design solutions.
• Improve tech stack and deploy microservices to the cloud (AWS).
• Contribute to firmwide frameworks and build reusable components.
• Engage in Agile processes and provide Level 3 support globally.
• Mentor junior team members.
