Job summary

Ocean Infinity in Greater London is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer with Tech Lead experience for a full-stack product team. You will anchor the technical direction and own how work gets built and shipped while remaining an individual contributor.

Our stack runs on C#/.NET with React and a TypeScript stack. You will lead backend design, collaborate across product, design and QA, and help the team improve through mentorship and code review.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer across backend services and web frontends.
• Proven experience as a Tech Lead owning a team's technical approach and delivery.
• Strong backend fundamentals with C#/.NET or Node/TypeScript and React SPA experience.
• Relational databases and ORM with schema and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for a fullstack product and stay hands-on writing and reviewing code.
• Own the how and the when: technical approach, task breakdown, sequencing, capacity, and quality bar.
• Hold the line on backend design discipline to keep services maintainable as the team grows.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to define, design, and ship features.
• Mentor peers, provide constructive technical feedback, and raise engineering standards.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and promote their effective use within the team.
• Document software and processes as needed.
