Job summary

Clova Search - Ruby on Rails Specialists in London is seeking senior Ruby on Rails engineers to join a mission-driven healthtech startup. Roles are senior IC with potential for upper-mid levels, offering a backend-led, full-stack focus and a proactive product mindset.

Qualifications

Senior Software Engineering roles (Ruby on Rails) - Healthtech for Good - London

This is without a doubt one of the most exciting Ruby roles in London right now!

This is your opportunity to join a very exciting health tech start up (founded in 2020, over $15mil funding) in the tech for good space.

• Senior IC roles to be filled (open to upper mid level devs too)
• Hybrid in London - Paddington office 3 days a week
• Salary range of £70 - 100k for Senior plus equity.

In this company Engineers don't get told what to do; they proactively spot bugs, come up with ideas and then build the solution. You'll need a strong product mindset and proficiency using AI to code

They're helping to solve a health problem that is increasingly impacting society on a global scale. Their platform allows clinics to offer improved experiences for patients, with a strong focus on unlocking data insights. Technology in this sector is far behind where it needs to be, and you can be part of the solution!

• The roles are backend leaning but you will touch the frontend too so full stack experience is preferred
• "The Rails Way" - Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Turbo, Stimulus, Postgres, AWS. React Native for mobile (experience not required)
• AI (Claude code) is used on a daily basis to support development and productivity
• All of the engineers bring a product/ user mindset. There is only 1 dedicated product manager in the business
• They're looking to hire people who are very happy to stay hands-on as an individual contributor right now

Salary, team info and benefits:

• £70 - 100k depending on experience PLUS meaningful equity in a business showing great early signs of success
• Join a tech team of approx 25 people (17 Engineers with Ruby skills). The company is around 35 individuals
