Job summary

Halliburton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize high-performance Rock Physics desktop and cloud applications. You will own the technical direction, write code daily, review pull requests, and drive architectural decisions.

You will lead migration of legacy C/C++ codebases to modern languages and UI/UX frameworks while preserving accuracy and performance. Expect collaboration with Team Lead and Product Owner.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering building and shipping complex production-grade applications.
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and C/C++ in a single product ecosystem.
• Experience with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modernize high-performance desktop and cloud applications.
• Lead architectural decisions and drive technical direction of production software.
• Migrate legacy codebases to modern languages and UI/UX frameworks.
• Adopt AI-powered tooling to accelerate delivery and code quality.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through reviews and pairing.
• Communicate risks and progress clearly to stakeholders.
