Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Resilience Operations team, collaborating with CTO Platform Engineering. You will design, develop and maintain cyber resilience and recovery tooling that enables teams across Barclays to autonomously manage protection and recovery operations.

This role involves working on a distributed microservices platform across multi‑infrastructure environments and integrating with governance systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing and maintaining software across distributed microservices platforms.
• Strong front-end and back-end development skills with modern tooling.
• Security-conscious development with secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve software for cyber resilience and recovery tooling.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and application owners to deliver resilient solutions.
• Review code and promote a culture of quality and knowledge sharing.
• Lead secure coding practices and implement comprehensive unit testing.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to platform scalability and reliability.
