Job summary

Barclays is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Resilience Operations team, reporting to CTO Platform Engineering. You will design, develop and maintain cyber resilience tooling that enables Barclays teams to manage protection and recovery operations across multi-infrastructure environments.

The role focuses on a distributed microservices platform, real-time event streaming, and collaboration with security, infrastructure, and application owners to improve recovery times,

Qualifications

• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience with Go backend development and REST API design.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain cyber resilience and recovery tooling.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to align with business goals.
• Contribute to code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Lead architectural decisions and mentor engineers to scale the platform.
