Job summary

FanDuel is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Marketing Platforms teams in Scotland. You will build and optimize high-performance microservices that power FanDuel's marketing ecosystem, enabling real-time customer communications, personalized promotions, and targeted campaign delivery.

You will design scalable, event-driven systems handling large volumes of real-time data to deliver intelligent insights to marketing partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong backend experience with Java.
• Experience with AWS and IaC (Terraform).
• Experience with event streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Experience with high-volume, cloud-based systems.
• Containers (Docker) and Kubernetes; modern architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, event-driven microservices powering real-time marketing.
• Coach and develop other engineers' skills.
• Lead projects with strategic direction for the vertical.
• Write secure, maintainable code with best practices.
