About the role

Our products are known for their reliability and intuitive design. The Roku Smart Home IoT team develops new products and features to provide simple, smart home solutions. This role requires a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office.

What you'll be doing
  • Define test scope for IoT products with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to our Python-based test framework.
  • Enhance our CI flow within Git.
  • Develop test plans and ensure coverage for IoT products.
  • Collaborate across teams during development.
  • Work with manufacturing and user-facing software.
  • Review features, plan tests, and design cases.
  • Execute tests, analyze, and communicate results.
  • Support debugging and ensure framework reusability.
  • Own and drive QA processes for products and features.
  • Travel to support manufacturing prototypes.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing on testing and automation.
We're excited if you have
  • 6+ years QA experience.
  • Hands-on automation testing for embedded products.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Python in large projects.
  • Hardware in the loop testing experience.
  • Ability to write reusable code.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-directed work ethic.
  • ISEB or ISTQB certification.
  • Experience with embedded platforms, IoT, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi.
  • Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • International product experience.
