London, United Kingdom • Permanent • Full time • Competitive

The LSEG DevSecOps Engineering team inside the cyber security division is looking for Senior Software Engineers to build tools and automations to help secure software development for thousands of developers across the group. You will be working as part of a geographically distributed remote team comprising security engineers and software engineers. Our team's mission is to allow engineers to embed security best practices frictionlessly as part of their day to day work.

Responsibilities
  • Build tools and automations to secure software development for thousands of developers across the group.
  • Collaborate with security engineers and software engineers in a geographically distributed remote team.
  • Enable engineers to embed security best practices as part of their day-to-day work.
Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of cyber security principles, secure software development, and threat modeling
  • Experience conducting security assessments, code reviews, and vulnerability management across diverse technology stacks
  • Experience in building full-stack products (web applications, APIs, CI tooling or low-level software)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes), with a focus on security
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of supply chain security risks and mitigation strategies in the SDLC
  • Ability to build and automate security tools, processes, and controls (e.g., web apps, APIs, CI/CD integrations)
  • Strong communication skills for advising and educating engineers on secure coding and remediation
  • Knowledge of common algorithms and data structures for dealing with large quantities of data (e.g., building data-intensive systems)
  • Experience analysing large datasets for security monitoring, detection, or incident response
Additional context

As part of this role, you will get exposure to all parts of the business that build software using a wide array of technologies (low-level C++ to high-level TypeScript web apps to new cloud technologies). This is the ideal role for a polyglot technologist looking to make a large impact on securing software in the group. Note: You do not need all the skills listed above to qualify. We are primarily interested in security-minded professionals with a strong interest in secure software development.
