Senior Software Engineer - (PHP/Remote/£65k)

This is a permanent position based in County Antrim.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of a dynamic engineering team, contributing to flagship products and influencing their architecture. You will work on both frontend and backend applications using modern cloud technologies, primarily in Amazon Web Services. The role supports your growth in AWS expertise or allows you to leverage existing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop the next generation of products.
• Design and implement new and existing software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Innovate to improve processes and technology efficiency.

Preferred Technologies:

• PHP with Laravel framework
• MySQL databases (large-scale, globally distributed)
• Amazon Web Services (RDS, Lambda, etc.)
• Redis

Desired Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of PHP and Laravel experience
• Experience with AWS cloud hosting
• Mentoring skills for junior developers
• Ability to thrive in a startup environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, self-driven, with ownership of projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
