Senior Software Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Veson Nautical, you will shape the future of the maritime shipping industry by solving complex problems. You will lead significant projects from design to deployment, mentoring teams across the codebase. You will design, develop, and support software powering maritime commerce, influencing solution design and quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Our Stack:

Our tech stack includes PHP, Vue.js, and SQL databases, in a hybrid cloud environment (GCP and AWS).

Skills/Experience Needed:

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience developing complex backend services using PHP, Golang, or Python
• Strong SQL skills for designing, optimizing queries, managing databases, and troubleshooting
• Experience with RESTful or GraphQL API architecture
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with AWS or GCP services
• Experience in architecture design and documentation
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js, React, Angular
• Experience with Docker containerization
• Familiarity with large data storage solutions such as Snowflake or Bigtable
