Answer Digital is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Community in Leeds. The role involves taking ownership of project areas, delivering high-quality code, and mentoring junior engineers in a hands-on, delivery-focused environment.

You will work in client-facing delivery teams, collaborating with stakeholders and applying agile practices to large-scale projects. The role also emphasizes AI-assisted tooling, secure and scalable solutions, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in client-facing delivery teams with stakeholder communication.
• Hands-on delivery of features in large-scale projects.
• Agile development with continuous delivery.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project areas and deliver high-quality, tested code.
• Maintain build pipelines, code quality, testing and version control.
• Lead task breakdown, estimates and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Support impact assessments and continuous process improvements.
• Contribute to secure, scalable, cost-conscious solutions.
