Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable Java-based applications with modern cloud-native practices. You will collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and engineering teams to build robust, high-quality software and contribute to architectural decisions.

You will mentor other engineers and leverage AI-assisted tools while improving engineering practices and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong object-oriented design and patterns.
• Expert Java/J2EE with Web Services.
• REST APIs, Spring Boot, Microservices and SOA web services.
• Front-end tech: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular and/or ReactJS.
• Proficient SQL with data modeling.
• Strong testing: unit and integration testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performance Java-based applications aligned with business objectives.
• Build and enhance application features to support evolving product and customer needs.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable designs and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and services for seamless system integration.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews and best practices.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster learning and collaboration.
