Job summary

Catapult is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Angular) to join our sports performance technology team in the UK. You will design, implement and maintain production-grade software across backend services and frontend UX/UI.

You will work with Java/Spring Boot and a modern JS framework (Angular/React), contribute to testing and automation, and drive features from architecture through to production in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Java / Spring Boot and a modern JS/TS framework such as Angular or React
• Experience with PostgreSQL data modelling, queries, and performance
• Strong API design and distributed systems knowledge
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and release automation
• Ability to own features from architecture to production
• Knowledge of Capacitor, Electron, RxDB or offline-capable app development is a plus

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, implementation and maintenance of efficient, reusable code
• Drive code quality and best practices across the development process
• Participate in engineering meetings, design reviews and code reviews
• Contribute to test strategy and author unit tests, drive automation
• Take ownership of features from architecture to production
