Job Description

The New Data Backend team works with various internal components and services that feed the core functionality of the Nexthink product. They integrate data received from endpoint devices, making it available to other product services for analysis and insights on the digital employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with existing data pipelines to enrich and add value for customers.
• Improve existing pipelines and propose full redesigns when needed.
• Design, implement, validate, and deploy cloud-native microservices for a scalable SaaS platform.
• Contribute to the development of our Data Platform and our transition to a cloud-only infrastructure.
• Participate in all software development stages, collaborating across teams.
• Maintain high code quality standards and best practices.
• Adopt an agile, iterative development approach.
• Learn new technologies and programming languages as needed.
• Lead complex projects with minimal oversight, delivering features iteratively.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with scalable architecture: microservices, APIs (REST, gRPC), containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio), messaging systems (Kafka). Kafka experience is a plus.
• Passion for building resilient, secure, and scalable services.
• Experience with cloud providers, preferably AWS.
• Solid knowledge of Java, including multithreading issues; other languages are a plus.
• Experience with Spring or Micronaut frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres and ClickHouse; ClickHouse experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and configuration tools like Terraform.
• Experience working in Agile environments with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take ownership, work with specifications, collaborate with Product Managers, and proactively seek information.
