Job summary

MHR is seeking a Senior Integrations Software Engineer to design and deliver robust integrations that connect our People and Finance platform with external systems across the UK. You’ll stay hands-on while providing technical leadership, working with engineers, product teams and stakeholders to solve complex integration challenges.

You’ll focus on Ruby, APIs, and integration architecture, shaping how we connect with third-party platforms and services.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software engineering experience, ideally including Ruby.
• Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of JSON and XML.
• Experience with API security and authentication, including OAuth and Basic Authentication.
• Experience working with Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Strong understanding of API and integration design principles.
• A focus on clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in an Agile engineering environment.
• The ability to mentor other engineers and communicate technical concepts clearly.

You’ll join a collaborative engineering team designing and delivering secure, scalable integrations used by organisations across the UK. Working with engineers, product teams and stakeholders, you’ll solve complex integration challenges and help shape how our products connect with third-party platforms and services.

As a senior engineer, you’ll remain hands-on while providing technical leadership, sharing best practice and supporting other engineers.
