Job summary

Wise is hiring senior product engineers for the Grow squad to scale a global wealth platform and build a new frontier from scratch. You will help evolve the Wise Account into a world-leading financial hub while shaping technical foundations and high-scale systems.

You will work with PMs, Designers, and Analysts to decide what to build, not just how, and you will own the end-to-end quality of web applications and distributed systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong product mindset with focus on user experience and data-driven decisions.
• Great communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones.
• Ability to coordinate complex projects across different teams.
• Experience developing web applications and distributed systems in a production environment.
• Knowledge of design/architectural patterns; writing clean, performant code.
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot; Kafka is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scale a live product across UK, EU, Singapore and Australia.
• Architect high-availability Yield Engine for billions in assets.
• Define technical foundations, brokerage infrastructure, and trading interfaces.
• Shape strategy and code for a new pillar of the Wise ecosystem.
• Collaborate with PMs, Designers, and Analysts to decide what to build.
