Job description

As a Senior Backend Engineer on the GDP team, you will architect, develop, scale, and monitor solutions, improvements, and services across our Olo Engage product suite. Our software products support our brands in harnessing guest data from across their tech stack to boost retention, lower acquisition costs, and do more with less. We handle restaurant event data in the scale of billions of events per month. We aim to collaborate well and encourage new ideas and experimentation. No part of the codebase is off-limits. You'll work with a passionate team dedicated to delivering amazing products using modern technologies.

You will be contracted to Olo through Deel, our Employer of Record (EOR), which handles the legal and administrative responsibilities of employing staff. You work for Olo in a practical sense, completing your assigned role, while the EOR manages administrative and legal responsibilities. You maintain your day-to-day relationship with Olo, and Deel will be your point of contact for job-related matters. You'll retain all employment rights under local law and be eligible for statutory benefits and pension programs.

This position is fully remote and allows you to work from anywhere within the United Kingdom.

• Design and build reliable but simple solutions to complex problems at scale.
• Own the code and services you deploy, observe performance, and identify emerging problems.
• Assess and resolve production incidents that arise in the components your team manages.
• Help us scale to the next level of growth and reliability as we onboard new enterprise clients.
• Research and propose new technologies to apply.

What We’ll Expect From You:

Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is £57,600 - £70,000 annually, depending on the experience you bring. We look forward to discussing your expectations during the interview process.
