Rightmove in London is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and deliver high‑quality, scalable backend services. You'll work with Java 17+ and Spring Boot to empower millions of users and thousands of agents on our platform.
You'll collaborate across product, design, and engineering, mentor peers, and champion performance, testing, and robust design patterns in a hybrid environment with at least 2 days in the London office.

Our teams are autonomous and cross-functional, combining design, product, engineering and testing expertise. You’ll collaborate closely with others to deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions that support millions of users, thousands of agents, and hundreds of Rightmovers. You’ll play a key role in defining scalable, maintainable, and high‑performance solutions to both business and technical challenges.
